Original papers on coastal conservation and management in the Atlantic and Mediterranean are invited. Practical papers detailing best coastal conservation and management practices, as well as policies, monitoring, analysis and tools on conference topics are encouraged.
All interested persons are invited to submit abstracts for consideration. Both oral and poster presentations will require an abstract. Depending on the number of abstracts received and the time available, as well as on the scientific advisory committee review, we may request that some papers submitted as oral presentations be moved to the poster session. Authors wishing to make their presentation by poster should indicate it.
Please use the template to prepare your abstract, available here. Carefully read the guidelines and comply with the requirements. Abstracts are limited to four pages (including illustrations and tables). Also, please limit your abstract title to no more than 250 characters. The official language of the conference will be English and therefore abstracts should be in English.
To be most useful for the conference delegates, abstracts should describe results and the relevance of the work or research being done as well as its implications for advancing our knowledge or of the proposed methodologies. All approved abstracts will be published in the “Book of Abstracts”, which will be distributed to participants at the on-site registration.
The deadline for full paper submission is June 1st, 2007 (after the conference). Papers will be published in the conference volume proceedings or in special editions of selected journals. All submitted papers will undergo a regular peer-review process.
All abstracts should be emailed as one word-file attachment, together with the pre-registration form filled, to
Prof. Francisco Taveira Pinto ( fpinto@fe.up.pt).
Abstracts are due by November 20, 2006.
